The Ancient Science of Meditation

  

Meditation is the ancient science of developing a concentrated mind. With meditation, the mind grows in magnitude thus increasing the periphery of its function. Whatever we think, we become. Therefore, in meditation, we do not concentrate on just any thoughts that may arise in our minds, we concentrate on thoughts that elevate the human being to a higher level of being and inner knowledge. Therefore, meditation has to be methodical, clear, and positive. 


There are many different types of meditation. At Healing Breath, the practice of meditation is based on the repetition of a mantra. A mantra is a special word or phrase which has a powerful meaning that elevates the mind. It is repeated with the rhythm of our breathing. The repetition and meaning of the mantra will increase the periphery of your love, your knowledge, and your intuition. 


The benefits of meditation have been studied by many scientific disciplines, including neuroscience. Combining rhythmic breathing with the repetition of the mantra and its ideation not only transforms our thinking, but also the intrinsic biology of our beings.  Meditation can dramatically reduce feelings of stress and anxiety. The transformative power of the mantra invigorates the practitioner with positivity and spiritual insight resulting in a new perspective on life and living.
